We are pleased to welcome Abdenour Atlaoui to the CNRGV for a two-year apprenticeship. His project will explore the applications of artificial intelligence (AI) to improve the management and use of the unit’s knowledge bases.
The project has two main goals:
- To facilitate access to information through dynamic, searchable knowledge bases using innovative tools (chatbots, intelligent search engines).
- To support scientific and organizational activities by reducing search time, centralizing resources, and providing relevant decision-making assistance.
In the long run, several applications may emerge:
- An internal chatbot able to query our resources and documents,
- An automated literature-monitoring tool for genomics,
- A bioinformatics assistant to check the quality of sequences and genome assemblies.
This ambitious project highlights the growing importance of AI in genomics research, and we are happy to support Abdenour in this mission.
Welcome to CNRGV!
